When you accepted Jesus Christ as your Savior He gave you the 'Keys to the Kingdom of heaven'
Do you understand how to use them?
Matthew 16:19 And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.”
Who did He give the keys to?
To those who believe He is the Son of the Living God as revealed to them by the Father.
Matthew 16:13 When Jesus came into the region of Caesarea Philippi, He asked His disciples, saying, “Who do men say that I, the Son of Man, am?”
14 So they said, “Some say John the Baptist, some Elijah, and others Jeremiah or one of the prophets.”
15 He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?”
16 Simon Peter answered and said, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”
17 Jesus answered and said to him, “Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but My Father who is in heaven. (Bold emphasis mine)
When should you use them? Following a warning, a Word of knowledge, when viewing a potential threat, when called to intercede, and many other reasons as directed by the Holy Spirit.
God may reveal some future event to you; the warning may come to you through:
Luke 10:19 Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you. (Bold emphasis mine)
Personally I have used the keys of the kingdom of heaven during our demonic deliverance ministry, a tornado, intersession for healing, protection, and many other numerous occasions. (my personal tornado experience)
In 2016 as we draw closer to the end of the age you'll want to be sure you know how to use the keys and the authority He has provided you as one of His redeemed.

God shares advance knowledge with His people for many reasons, for their own protection because He loves us all, to intercede for His mercy to lesson the damage and destruction that is coming and to spare His people.
Prayer changes outcomes; whether it be wars, national disasters, and plagues, He will respond to His peoples prayer.

- A prophecy, to an individual or group
- A personal Word to your heart
