Salvation

What is the Gospel? The Gospel (Video Link)

All are invited, but you must accept your invitation and confirm your reservation?

John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

If you don't know God, I'm sorry, especially if you are you one of those people that think all of the worlds religions provide different paths to the same destination.

Maybe you are not religious and consider yourself a good person who obeys the law while helping out those in need. Do you obey every aspect of God's Law listed here or have you broken just a little part of it?

The Ten Commandments

Exodus 20And God spoke all these words, saying:
“I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.
“You shall have no other gods before Me.
“You shall not make for yourself a carved image—any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth; you shall not bow down to them nor serve them. For I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children to the third and fourth generations of those who hate Me, but showing mercy to thousands, to those who love Me and keep My commandments.
“You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain, for the Lord will not hold him guiltless who takes His name in vain.
“Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days you shall labor and do all your work, 10 but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord your God. In it you shall do no work: you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your male servant, nor your female servant, nor your cattle, nor your stranger who is within your gates. 11 For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it.
12 “Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long upon the land which the Lord your God is giving you.
13 “You shall not murder.
14 “You shall not commit adultery.
15 “You shall not steal.
16 “You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.
17 “You shall not covet your neighbor’s house; you shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, nor his male servant, nor his female servant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor anything that is your neighbor’s.”

John 1:17 For the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.

If you have broken just part of God's law you are guilty of all and fall short. The purpose of the law is to make you aware of and enable you to realize your need for a Savior.

Galatians 3:24 Therefore the law was our tutor to bring us to Christ, that we might be justified by faith.

Romans 3:(19-21) 19 Now we know that whatever the law says, it says to those who are under the law, that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God. 20 Therefore by the deeds of the law no flesh will be justified in His sight, for by the law is the knowledge of sin.

Psalm 51:5

5 Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity,And in sin my mother conceived me.

What happened when Eve believed the serpent in the Garden of Eden; she tried the forbidden fruit and then went and gave Adam some which he ate.

Here is God's account of what happened:

Genesis 3:(5-7) 5 For God knows that in the day you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.” 6 So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree desirable to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate. She also gave to her husband with her, and he ate. 7 Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together and made themselves coverings.

Now with this in mind, didn't we all descend from Adam and Eve; they were first and all of us came after. Because they ate they fell from paradise with God and were banished from the Garden of Eden. Being their descendants we are born into a fallen state, yes born evil.

No matter how good you are you will fall short without a Savior, see Romans 3:20 above.

You are born in the flesh and are an eternal being; so when your life in the flesh here on earth ends there are two destinations for our surviving spirits. You can either continue as you are or accept Christ's invitation to salvation.

The path of continuing as you were born and ignoring Christ's invitation leads to fire and brimstone, Hades/Hell, and the second death.

Revelation 20:10
The devil, who deceived them, was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone where the beast and the false prophet are. And they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.

Revelation 20:14
Then Death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.

Revelation 20:15
And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire.

So what is hell like, watch this 3 minute video:

Romans 3:23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,

If you do nothing and remain evil you remain under Satan's influence  and your name will not be found in the Lambs Book of Life; your destination remains Hades followed by the Lake of Fire or the second death.

God created this place for Satan and his angels, not for you! God paid an awful price when He allowed His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ to be sacrificed in your place!

John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

Very soon Christ's invitation to you will no longer be available and the doorway will be shut like the entry into Noah's Ark was. When God shuts the door no man can open it so enter now while it is still open!

Don't click out of this page! Cry out to Jesus now!

Jesus will answer you, you don't have to take my word for it. When He does repent of your sins and ask Him to come into your heart and save you and He will!

Then what? - Next steps.

REJOICE!

TELL SOMEONE. Why?

Romans 10:8-10
8 But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith which we preach): 9 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

Don't know anyone? Tell me. So I can rejoice with you and all of Heaven that you have joined us!

Next, get your Bible and get to know Jesus by reading the book of John in the new testament.

Leave the past behind and make new friendships in the body of Christ.

As you get to know our Lord in the book of John consider the two baptisms, one with water and the other with the fire of the Holy Ghost.

Water Baptism

Dead to Sin, Alive to God

Romans 6:1 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound?
2 Certainly not! How shall we who died to sin live any longer in it?
3 Or do you not know that as many of us as were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death?
4 Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
5 For if we have been united together in the likeness of His death, certainly we also shall be in the likeness of His resurrection,
6 knowing this, that our old man was crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves of sin.
7 For he who has died has been freed from sin.
8 Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with Him,
9 knowing that Christ, having been raised from the dead, dies no more. Death no longer has dominion over Him.
10 For the death that He died, He died to sin once for all; but the life that He lives, He lives to God.
11 Likewise you also, reckon yourselves to be dead indeed to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
12 Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body, that you should obey it in its lusts.
13 And do not present your members as instruments of unrighteousness to sin, but present yourselves to God as being alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness to God.
14 For sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under law but under grace.

Note: If you have trouble finding a church to baptize you like I did because I was not a member simply ask a fellow believer to baptize you in the name of the Father, the Son, and Holy Ghost. A swimming pool, lake or river will work fine as long as it's deep enough for you to be submerged and raised up.

Baptism of the Holy Ghost/Spirit

Coming of the Holy Spirit

Acts 2:1 When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.
2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting.
3 Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them.
4 And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

Note: You can ask God to baptize you with the Holy Ghost in prayer or ask your group of believers to seek the Lord with you for this baptism by the laying on of hands in prayer. You will likely experience the realization of verse 4 above; don't be alarmed as the Spirit intercedes for you in a language you cannot understand but the Spirit knows what you have need of.

REJOICE!

Immortality

As a human you are an eternal being.
John 3:14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up, 15 that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. 16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. Note: everlasting life, that's immortal and eternal.

As a human you have all the following as stated by God in 1 Corinthians 15 if you accept the free gift of forgiveness and eternal life offered by Jesus who died for you.

A Glorious Body

1 Corinthians 15:35 But someone will say, “How are the dead raised up? And with what body do they come?” 36 Foolish one, what you sow is not made alive unless it dies. 37 And what you sow, you do not sow that body that shall be, but mere grain—perhaps wheat or some other grain. 38 But God gives it a body as He pleases, and to each seed its own body.
39 All flesh is not the same flesh, but there is one kind of flesh of men, another flesh of animals, another of fish, and another of birds.
40 There are also celestial bodies and terrestrial bodies; but the glory of the celestial is one, and the glory of the terrestrial is another. 41 There is one glory of the sun, another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars; for one star differs from another star in glory.
42 So also is the resurrection of the dead. The body is sown in corruption, it is raised in incorruption. 43 It is sown in dishonor, it is raised in glory. It is sown in weakness, it is raised in power. 44 It is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body. 45 And so it is written, “The first man Adam became a living being.” The last Adam became a life-giving spirit.
46 However, the spiritual is not first, but the natural, and afterward the spiritual. 47 The first man was of the earth, made of dust; the second Man is the Lord from heaven. 48 As was the man of dust, so also are those who are made of dust; and as is the heavenly Man, so also are those who are heavenly. 49 And as we have borne the image of the man of dust, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly Man.

Our Final Victory

1 Corinthians 15:50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; nor does corruption inherit incorruption. 51 Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed—52 in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. 53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. 54 So when this corruptible has put on incorruption, and this mortal has put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written: “Death is swallowed up in victory.”
