One god for all? or One God over all other gods?

Which is it? You can't have it both ways! My God does not head up multiple religions representing himself by different names as the Pope and others would have you believe!

There is no excuse for those who claim all religions serve the same god! All paths do not lead to heaven as they claim.

As you face this picture the little god on the left, Satan, is the 'one god for all' and my God on the right is the 'God over all other gods'. The one god for all goes by many names; way too many names to list in this post. Which one heads your church, mosque or synagogue?

Preeminence of Christ

Colossians 1:15 He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation.
16 For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers.
All things were created through Him and for Him.
17 And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist.
18 And He is the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things He may have the preeminence.

As you face the picture look beyond their faces into the background scene; Satan's kingdom appears to be fire and brimstone with faces peering out of the dark clouds and beyond Christ is the light of life itself.

Since the fall of Adam all flesh is born into the kingdom behind Satan/Lucifer: As human beings born into this world we have a body of flesh, which is of this world. We come from the dust of the earth when born and return to dust when we die.

Genesis 3:18 Both thorns and thistles it shall bring forth for you,
And you shall eat the herb of the field.
19 In the sweat of your face you shall eat bread
Till you return to the ground,
For out of it you were taken;
For dust you are,
And to dust you shall return.”

But!!! Inside this body of dust we have two other parts of which we consist; these two parts are soul and spirit and are eternal.

  • Our soul and spirit existed in Christ before the foundation of the world. When we are born into our fleshly body our flesh becomes a temporary covering for our soul and spirit.

Ephesians 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:
4 According as He hath chosen us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love:
5 Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will,

Who is predestinated? All who are born in the flesh! Christ doesn't want anyone to perish in the second death.

2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.

What is the second death?

Revelation 20:14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.

Revelation 21:8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

One god for all religions rules the flesh and his kingdom stands for all that God hates.

Proverbs 6:16-19

16 These six things the Lord hates,
Yes, seven are an abomination to Him:
17 A proud look,
A lying tongue,
Hands that shed innocent blood,
18 A heart that devises wicked plans,
Feet that are swift in running to evil,
19 A false witness who speaks lies,
And one who sows discord among brethren.

These four verses describe the world we see around us, the actions of our governments and the true character of the people themselves.

In the kingdom of God we have the light and essence of life in contrast to Satan's kingdom.

Galatians 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,
23 gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law.

Ephesians 5:9 (for the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness, righteousness, and truth),

Have you ever heard someone complain about having to make a choice between good and evil concerning eternity? Maybe you have complained about how unfair it seems to be confronted with such a choice. Do you really have to choose between good = heaven or evil = hell before your body of flesh gives up the ghost?

The quick answer is no you do not have to choose one or the other!

  • When you are born into the flesh you are in a fallen evil state because of the fall of Adam since you are his descendant. Remaining in this state for eternity does not require you to make any choice, you simply remain as you are. In this state you will do the things described in Proverbs 6:16-19
  • If you desire more out of life and the qualities stated in Galatians 5:22 and Ephesians 5:9 you will have to make a choice to repent and accept Christ's gift of salvation and eternal life. When you do make this choice He will redeem you instantly and you will know it.
My God is the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob; He is the God over all other gods. He is God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit and he is a jealous God.

Exodus 34:14 (for you shall worship no other god, for the Lord, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God),

Deuteronomy 4:24 For the Lord your God is a consuming fire, a jealous God.

Romans 10:9 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.

In summary

  • All human beings were alive in Christ before the world was founded; they were alive in soul and spirit.
  • All human beings when born of earthly mothers received an outer covering of flesh.
  • All human beings when the flesh wears out and dies continue to live in the form of soul and spirit. Those who cried out to Christ while in the flesh are redeemed by Him and return to Him.
  • All human beings are given free will to choose their own course to follow; some choose Christ while others enjoy the lust of the flesh and make no choice to change their course before the flesh wears out and they die.
Have you ever noticed most humans seek more than life in the flesh can give them? The reason is simple; we were created for life eternal and all that eternity holds.

To return to the glory of eternal life when the flesh fails requires that we freely choose that direction for our life's course based on our implanted nature and knowledge of God given to us when we were created in Him before the foundation of the world.

Doers—Not Hearers Only

James 1:21 Therefore lay aside all filthiness and overflow of wickedness, and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls.
22 But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.
23 For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror;
24 for he observes himself, goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was.
25 But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does. (Bold emphasis mine)

What saves us? The blood of Jesus and God's implanted word when He created us. This implant gives us the knowledge of God along with the ability to determine what is right and what is wrong. i.e.

Romans 5:9 Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him.

What leads to life eternal or what leads to the second death.

Some have wondered how human beings that have never had the gospel preached to them by other humans could be saved. The answer is in James 1:21 above. His Word is implanted in us when we are created.

Luke 3:6 And all flesh shall see the salvation of God.’”

Isaiah 52:10 The Lord has made bare His holy arm
In the eyes of all the nations;
And all the ends of the earth shall see
The salvation of our God.

Note: 'Nations' refer to people in the Bible (Bold emphasis mine)

Trained by Saving Grace

Titus 2:11 For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men,
12 teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age,
13 looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ,
14 who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from every lawless deed and purify for Himself His own special people, zealous for good works. (Bold emphasis mine)

Wow did you know God has appeared to all men, all humans!

Humans are without excuse and cannot claim they don't know who God is according to the Scripture.

God’s Wrath on Unrighteousness

Romans 1:18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness,
19 because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them.
20 For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse,
21 because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened.
22 Professing to be wise, they became fools,
23 and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man—and birds and four-footed animals and creeping things.
(Bold emphasis mine)

Life and Judgment Are Through the Son

John 5:24 “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life.
25 Most assuredly, I say to you, the hour is coming, and now is, when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God; and those who hear will live.
26 For as the Father has life in Himself, so He has granted the Son to have life in Himself,
27 and has given Him authority to execute judgment also, because He is the Son of Man.
28 Do not marvel at this; for the hour is coming in which all who are in the graves will hear His voice
29 and come forth—those who have done good, to the resurrection of life, and those who have done evil, to the resurrection of condemnation.
30 I can of Myself do nothing. As I hear, I judge; and My judgment is righteous, because I do not seek My own will but the will of the Father who sent Me.

She only touched His garment!

Mark 5:28 For she said, “If only I may touch His clothes, I shall be made well.”

To receive that which Christ offers one must believe and have faith. Was she healed? Did she believe and have faith?

A Girl Restored to Life and a Woman Healed

Mark 5:21 Now when Jesus had crossed over again by boat to the other side, a great multitude gathered to Him; and He was by the sea.
22 And behold, one of the rulers of the synagogue came, Jairus by name. And when he saw Him, he fell at His feet
23 and begged Him earnestly, saying, “My little daughter lies at the point of death. Come and lay Your hands on her, that she may be healed, and she will live.”
24 So Jesus went with him, and a great multitude followed Him and thronged Him.
25 Now a certain woman had a flow of blood for twelve years,
26 and had suffered many things from many physicians. She had spent all that she had and was no better, but rather grew worse.
27 When she heard about Jesus, she came behind Him in the crowd and touched His garment.
28 For she said, “If only I may touch His clothes, I shall be made well.” (She believed - Bold emphasis mine)

29 Immediately the fountain of her blood was dried up, and she felt in her body that she was healed of the affliction.
30 And Jesus, immediately knowing in Himself that power had gone out of Him, turned around in the crowd and said, “Who touched My clothes?”
31 But His disciples said to Him, “You see the multitude thronging You, and You say, ‘Who touched Me?’”
32 And He looked around to see her who had done this thing.
33 But the woman, fearing and trembling, knowing what had happened to her, came and fell down before Him and told Him the whole truth.
34 And He said to her, “Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace, and be healed of your affliction.” (Belief brings faith to receive - Bold emphasis mine)

Jairus also believed Jesus could save his daughter's life by laying hands on her, was she healed?

Mark 5:35 While He was still speaking, some came from the ruler of the synagogue’s house who said, “Your daughter is dead. Why trouble the Teacher any further?”
36 As soon as Jesus heard the word that was spoken, He said to the ruler of the synagogue, “Do not be afraid; only believe.”
37 And He permitted no one to follow Him except Peter, James, and John the brother of James.
38 Then He came to the house of the ruler of the synagogue, and saw a tumult and those who wept and wailed loudly.
39 When He came in, He said to them, “Why make this commotion and weep? The child is not dead, but sleeping.”
40 And they ridiculed Him. But when He had put them all outside, He took the father and the mother of the child, and those who were with Him, and entered where the child was lying.
41 Then He took the child by the hand, and said to her, “Talitha, cumi,” which is translated, “Little girl, I say to you, arise.”
42 Immediately the girl arose and walked, for she was twelve years of age. And they were overcome with great amazement.
43 But He commanded them strictly that no one should know it, and said that something should be given her to eat. (Bold emphasis mine)

Not all who were with Jesus were touched by His power, some ridiculed Him yet two were healed. One who believed and had faith received the power of healing herself, the other who believed and had faith saw his daughter raised by Jesus's touch and command.

Miracles Glorify Christ

Acts 19:11 Now God worked unusual miracles by the hands of Paul,

12 so that even handkerchiefs or aprons were brought from his body to the sick, and the diseases left them and the evil spirits went out of them.

The power of God is not limited to time, distance, or personal presence as seen in the Scripture above, but is limited by ones belief or unbelief coupled with the individuals faith.

Two Blind Men Healed

Acts 19:27 When Jesus departed from there, two blind men followed Him, crying out and saying, “Son of David, have mercy on us!”
28 And when He had come into the house, the blind men came to Him. And Jesus said to them, “Do you believe that I am able to do this?”

They said to Him, “Yes, Lord.”

29 Then He touched their eyes, saying, “According to your faith let it be to you.”

30 And their eyes were opened.
(Bold emphasis mine) They both believed and received according to their faith.

Christ Is Preached to an Ethiopian

Acts 8:36 Now as they went down the road, they came to some water. And the eunuch said, “See, here is water. What hinders me from being baptized?”
37 Then Philip said, “If you believe with all your heart, you may.” And he answered and said, “I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.”

38 So he commanded the chariot to stand still. And both Philip and the eunuch went down into the water, and he baptized him.
(Bold emphasis mine)

First you must believe with all your heart, then comes faith to receive.

How does faith come?

Romans 10:17 So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

If you struggle with unbelief and/or little faith the best way to overcome these issues is by spending time in the Word of God. Ask the Holy Spirit to guide you and read the Word out loud so your faith will come by hearing the Word of God.

If you struggle with interference from the enemy be sure to read the Word out loud; the enemy will flee from the truth of God's Word, especially at the sound of it.

Amen

Signs in the heavens - 2016 starts off with AMAZING Signs!

2016 has just begun and already we have amazing signs being photographed and shared!

Genesis 1:14 Then God said, “Let there be lights in the firmament of the heavens to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs and seasons, and for days and years;

Sunrises with a reminder of who is in control

The Coming of the Son of Man

Matthew 24:29 “Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from heaven,
and the powers of the heavens will be shaken.
30 Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
31 And He will send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

The sun itself - is this the enemy's face sizing us up before his all out attack?

Giant robot walking on clouds?

Luke 21:27 Then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.
28 Now when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near.”

Jesus is our only place of safety!

Psalm 61:2 From the end of the earth I will cry to You,
When my heart is overwhelmed;
Lead me to the rock that is higher than I.
3 For You have been a shelter for me,
A strong tower from the enemy.
4 I will abide in Your tabernacle forever;
I will trust in the shelter of Your wings. Selah

Safety of Abiding in the Presence of God

Psalm 91 He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High
Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
2 I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress;
My God, in Him I will trust.”

As a believer you are His disciple

King James Dictionary

Disciple Defined:

A follower an adherent to the doctrines of another. Hence the constant attendants of Christ were called his disciples and hence all Christians are called his disciples, as they profess to learn and receive his doctrines and precepts.

As a believer/disciple what has Jesus asked you to do?
  • Heal the sick
  • Cleanse the lepers
  • Raise the dead
  • Cast out demons
Wow have you done any of these things? As His disciple He gave you power over these things.

Matthew 10:1 And when He had called His twelve disciples to Him, He gave them power over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease.

Matthew 10:7 And as you go, preach, saying, ‘The kingdom of heaven is at hand.’
8 Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out demons. Freely you have received, freely give.

The Answered Prayer

Matthew 14:12 “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father.

Jesus Promises Another Helper

Matthew 14:15 “If you love Me, keep My commandments.
16 And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever—
17 the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you.
18 I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you.

Indwelling of the Father and the Son

Matthew 14:19 “A little while longer and the world will see Me no more, but you will see Me. Because I live, you will live also.
20 At that day you will know that I am in My Father, and you in Me, and I in you.
21 He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him.”

Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, and cast out demons. In a healthy church these should be part of life in the body as it was when the Book of Acts was recorded; we should be seeing these events in the headlines of Christian publications.

Something must be wrong within the Christian community; I suspect many are too busy with things of this world to find time for building a close friendship with Christ by dwelling in His Word and including Him in our daily activities. Too busy at what cost?

John 15 “I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser.
2 Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit.
3 You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you.
4 Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me.
5 “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.
6 If anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned.
7 If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.
8 By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples.

Do you know enough of His Word to recognize truth in the dark days coming? Deception is the greatest danger because the consequences are eternal.

2016 and the gap

2 Corinthians 6:17  Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you.

The Gap

The gap will be more clearly defined in 2016 and you will not be able to keep one foot on each side as you may be doing now.

The gap can still be bridged/jumped today, tomorrow it may be to wide. Don't be like the rich man and Lazarus.

The Rich Man and Lazarus

Luke 16:19 “There was a certain rich man who was clothed in purple and fine linen and fared sumptuously every day.
20 But there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, full of sores, who was laid at his gate,
21 desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man’s table. Moreover the dogs came and licked his sores.
22 So it was that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels to Abraham’s bosom. The rich man also died and was buried.
23 And being in torments in Hades, he lifted up his eyes and saw Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.
24 “Then he cried and said, ‘Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus that he may dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.’
25 But Abraham said, ‘Son, remember that in your lifetime you received your good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things; but now he is comforted and you are tormented.
26 And besides all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed, so that those who want to pass from here to you cannot, nor can those from there pass to us.'

2 Corinthians 6:14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?
15 And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?

In 2016 many changes will take place in your lives; what kind of changes depends on you and your choices. The Lord speaks about what is to come this year in the word below.

A word from the Lord by Wings of Prophecy January 3, 2016

Title: 2016 – A Year of Many Facets (an excerpt)

"You live in the time of the wise and unwise virgins, My Children – the Bridegroom is on His Way, and the Bride is either preparing, or not.
The door is soon to close and those who are unprepared will be left without – outside.
The Bride shall enter in, and others will be shut out. This is your time – choose wisely, for the darkness is great where there is no light."  Read more or listen here (the word begins at the 22:16 minute mark)

The Parable of the Wise and Foolish Virgins

Matthew 25 “Then the kingdom of heaven shall be likened to ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom.
2 Now five of them were wise, and five were foolish.
3 Those who were foolish took their lamps and took no oil with them,
4 but the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.
5 But while the bridegroom was delayed, they all slumbered and slept.
6 “And at midnight a cry was heard: ‘Behold, the bridegroom is coming; go out to meet him!’
7 Then all those virgins arose and trimmed their lamps.
8 And the foolish said to the wise, ‘Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out.’
9 But the wise answered, saying, ‘No, lest there should not be enough for us and you; but go rather to those who sell, and buy for yourselves.’
10 And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with him to the wedding; and the door was shut.
11 “Afterward the other virgins came also, saying, ‘Lord, Lord, open to us!’
12 But he answered and said, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, I do not know you.’
13 “Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour in which the Son of Man is coming.

Hebrews 9:27  And as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment,
28 so Christ was offered once to bear the sins of many. To those who eagerly wait for Him He will appear a second time, apart from sin, for salvation.
