Overcomers and a Believers Victory

Overcoming the enemy during these end times.

First of all remember who defeated the enemy.

He was defeated at the cross and as a result the victory is for all who believe. No one can take that victory away from you once you have cried out with a repentant heart, asked Jesus to forgive your sins and come into your heart!

Security in Jesus

John 10:28 And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand.
29 My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of My Father’s hand.

You may be thinking why don't I feel secure then? Why is my life in disarray?

I feel like I'm being sucked into a black hole!

My life feels like chaos in motion and I'm losing ground, my foundation is crumbling, God please help me!

Silence!

God why can't I hear you?

Your foundation is key

Luke 6:47 Whoever comes to Me, and hears My sayings and does them, I will show you whom he is like:
48 He is like a man building a house, who dug deep and laid the foundation on the rock. And when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently against that house, and could not shake it, for it was founded on the rock.
49 But he who heard and did nothing is like a man who built a house on the earth without a foundation, against which the stream beat vehemently; and immediately it fell. And the ruin of that house was great.”

First understand that even though you can't hear God right now it doesn't change the fact that He has you firmly gripped in His hand and no one will be able to snatch you out.

Do you recognize a voice on the phone from a person you seldom talk to compared to those you talk to daily and recognize immediately?

Look back to Luke 6:47 & 48 above:

  • Were you like the man our Lord describes in verse 48 after you invited Jesus into your heart? Did you dig into His Word in the Gospel John in the New Testament and get to know Him? Did you dig deep and build your foundation on the Rock (Jesus) like the fellow in verse 48? or were you more like the person He describes in verse 49?
If you are the person in verse 49 that would be why you can't hear Him, you simply haven't taken the time to get to know Him. But...

You can start today by opening your Bible to the book of John in the New Testament and start getting acquainted. The more you read His Word the better you will recognize His voice and the more solid your foundation will become.

For those of you who are like the person the Lord describes in verse 48, have you become an overcomer? Have you got Satan on the run? The Lord tells us how to be an overcomer in the book of Revelation.

Revelation 12:11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death.

You were covered in Jesus blood the moment you asked Him into your heart, but what about the word of your testimony?

If you have built the foundation on the Rock then you have have the Word written on your heart and when you share it with others you put Satan to flight. or...

When the enemy comes against you like a flood you speak forth the Word of your testimony and amazing things happen.

Isaiah 59:19-2 When the enemy comes in like a flood, The Spirit of the Lord will lift up a standard against him.

Wow how cool is that?

Romans 8:31

[ God’s Everlasting Love ] What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?

Building your foundation is critical:

  • Going to church once a week and listening to the preacher won't build the foundation you need, especially in today's churches. Many of today's churches have been infiltrated with seducing spirits of demons.
  • How would you know if you were attending one of these seducing churches without a foundation built strictly on God's Word and your time spent communicating with Him? If you are attending one now - run it's a trap - you can't fix it!
The Word is the only way to sort out today's deception and you would be wise to be like the Bereans in Acts 17.

Acts 17:10 Then the brethren immediately sent Paul and Silas away by night to Berea. When they arrived, they went into the synagogue of the Jews.
11 These were more fair-minded than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness, and searched the Scriptures daily to find out whether these things were so.

They searched the Scriptures daily to see if what was being preached passed the Lords verification test. If something does not align with God's Word it must be rejected; keep hold of only those things that hold true to God's Word.

Many Bibles on the market today have also been changed to be politically correct, a status set by man not God, so be careful when buying one. Personally I think the King James Version is best but I also like the New King James Version.

You need to be an overcomer to survive the days just ahead so why not start by getting up 10 to 20 minutes early every day and begin your day with the Lord and His Word. You will be amazed at the difference it makes.

For me meeting with my King first thing in the morning works best otherwise the days issues tend to get in  the way.

If you are a new believer begin with the book of John in the New Testament.

Rejoice He is coming sooner than you think!
