Knowing the Enemy - Lucifer the light bearer – Satan the Transformer

We are in the battle of our lives, the intensity is growing daily; like any competitive challenge you gain an advantage when know your opponents game plan and his next move.

In June of 2014 we looked at some of Satan the Transformer's appearances, they can be quickly reviewed here; this post is an expansion of the first post for additional battle planning on your part.

A word of caution; if you think this is a group battle and not one of a personal nature you will be getting some black eyes. Satan loves to separate you from the crowd and soften you up before he comes in with the kill shot.

To prepare for battle you must expect shock and awe! (Signs and wonders) This will be especially true if you left home without your morning spiritual preparation such as prayer, worship, and a good portion of the Holy Scripture, followed by putting on the whole armor of God. (Ephesians 6:10-18)

Matthew 24:24 For false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect.

Mark 13:22 For false christs and false prophets will rise and show signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect.

Your advocate is seated on the right as you face this picture, He will give you victory and protection. It is His power and provision that defeats the darkness that may be attacking you.

Daily preparation is important especially if you speaking up on the Lords behalf during your daily mix with society. In the 1990's my wife and I were performing deliverance ministry services for our King; I can attest to the morning preparation as the most important part of the day. Don't leave home without the armor!

In the previous post Satan appeared as an old man, as a young man, as a large brook of water, and in an unmentioned form when Abraham saw Satan tangle the rams horns in a bush in an attempt to have Abraham continue with the sacrifice of Isaac.

Satan the transformer appeared in the following way to Adam and Eve during their second temptation. This second method could be going on in many churches today across America, maybe in the one you attend. The following report took place after Adam and Eve had been expelled from the Garden of Eden by God.

Please pay special attention to how Adam and Eve discussed what they were seeing and what Adam did about it. (Emphasis mine with bold text of the key points)

The First Book of Adam and Eve

Chapter XXVII The second tempting of Adam and Eve. The devil takes on the form of a beguiling light.

1 When Satan, the hater of all good, saw how they continued in prayer, and how God communed with them, and comforted them, and how He had accepted their offering −− Satan made an apparition.

2 He began with transforming his hosts; in his hands was a flashing fire, and they were in a great light.

3 He then placed his throne near the mouth of the cave because he could not enter into it by reason of their prayers. And he shed light into the cave, until the cave glistened over Adam and Eve; while his hosts began to sing praises.

4 And Satan did this, in order that when Adam saw the light, he should think within himself that it was a heavenly light, and that Satan's hosts were angels; and that God had sent them to watch at the cave, and to give him light in the darkness.

5 So that when Adam came out of the cave and saw them, and Adam and Eve bowed to Satan, then he would overcome Adam thereby, and a second time humble him before God.

6 When, therefore, Adam and Eve saw the light, fancying it was real, they strengthened their hearts; yet, as they were trembling, Adam said to Eve: −−

7 "Look at that great light, and at those many songs of praise, and at that host standing outside who won't come into our cave. Why don't they tell us what they want, where they are from, what the meaning of this light is, what those praises are, why they have been sent to this place, and why they won't come in?

8 If they were from God, they would come into the cave with us, and would tell us why they were sent."

9 Then Adam stood up and prayed to God with a burning heart, and said: −−

10 "O Lord, is there in the world another god besides You, who created angels and filled them with light, and sent them to keep us, who would come with them?

11 But, look, we see these hosts that stand at the mouth of the cave; they are in a great light; they sing loud praises. If they are of some other god than You, tell me; and if they are sent by you, inform me of the reason for which You have sent them."

12 No sooner had Adam said this, than an angel from God appeared to him in the cave, who said to him, "O Adam, fear not. This is Satan and his hosts; he wishes to deceive you as he deceived you at first. For the first time, he was hidden in the serpent; but this time he is come to you in the likeness of an angel of light; in order that, when you worshipped him, he might enslave you, in the very presence of God."

13 Then the angel went from Adam and seized Satan at the opening of the cave, and stripped him of the pretense he had assumed, and brought him in his own hideous form to Adam and Eve; who were afraid of him when they saw him.

14 And the angel said to Adam, "This hideous form has been his ever since God made him fall from heaven. He could not have come near you in it; he therefore transformed himself into an angel of light."

15 Then the angel drove away Satan and his hosts from Adam and Eve, and said to them, "Fear not; God who created you, will strengthen you."

16 And the angel left them.

Biblical verification of Satan appearing as an angel of light.

2 Corinthians 11:14 And no wonder! For Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light.

Here are a few closing thoughts regarding what we have learned about our adversaries abilities.

  • Satan can transform himself and his host, one third of the heavenly angels that fell with him, into angels of light
  • Satan and his host could not enter the cave because of Adam and Eves prayers (Even though they had fallen from grace they repented and then maintained a right relationship with God who protected them)
  • Because this host at the cave entrance didn't come in, Adam questioned Eve and then God
  • God answered Adams question with an angel
  • God's angel removed Satan's disguise and revealed him for what he is and then sent Satan away
  • Today's churches who have gone along with political correctness have lost God's presence as well as His protection; Satan and his host could enter right in and join the service
  • Satan also moves easily from seen to unseen, dimensional transitions, and is obviously an inter dimensional fallen angel
  • He will tell you stories and sometimes admits that he lied

Acts Part 1-3 Silver and gold I do not have

Following Pentecost things began to happen.

A Lame Man Healed

Acts 3:1 Now Peter and John went up together to the temple at the hour of prayer, the ninth hour. 2 And a certain man lame from his mother’s womb was carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask alms from those who entered the temple; 3 who, seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple, asked for alms. 4 And fixing his eyes on him, with John, Peter said, “Look at us.” 5 So he gave them his attention, expecting to receive something from them. 6 Then Peter said, “Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk.” 7 And he took him by the right hand and lifted him up, and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength. 8 So he, leaping up, stood and walked and entered the temple with them—walking, leaping, and praising God. 9 And all the people saw him walking and praising God. 10 Then they knew that it was he who sat begging alms at the Beautiful Gate of the temple; and they were filled with wonder and amazement at what had happened to him.

The promise of the Father is for you today!

Over the past 40 years I have personally witnessed many similar events including brain tumors, lung cancer, bone cancer, and allergic reactions healed by the Power of the Holy Spirit.

If you ask He will baptize you with this power and then give you the gift of faith to use this power at His direction. (See the faith chapter, Hebrews 11)

Acts Part (1-2)

Following the resurrection of Christ; Christ was among the apostles 40 days giving them instructions and commandments.

Acts 1:3 to whom He also presented Himself alive after His suffering by many infallible proofs, being seen by them during forty days and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God.

Christ was assembled together with them:

Acts 1:4 And being assembled together with them, He commanded them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the Promise of the Father, “which,” He said, “you have heard from Me; 5 for John truly baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now.”

Today when you accept Christ as your Savior, He (the Holy Spirit) comes into you and you begin to understand His Word more fully.

Revelation 3:20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.

These are your baby steps as you begin to understand His teachings and the way He desires you to follow Him. At this point you are not ready to go out among the masses sharing the good news of Salvation. At this point you need fellowship and growth with like minded believers.

As we see in Acts 1:4-5 Jesus commands them not to depart Jerusalem until they receive the Promise of the Father even though these apostles had been with Him during His ministry. They certainly were not babes in Christ but they were lacking the Promise of the Father, the empowerment given by God to complete their task among the masses.

These were men who had witnessed it all, the Crucifixion, the burial, and the Resurrected Christ; they had experienced it all but He told them to wait. WOW!

Acts 1: 8 But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”

This same power is available to you today!

Then they watched Him ascend into Heaven and were told He would return in like manner.

Acts 1:9 Now when He had spoken these things, while they watched, He was taken up, and a cloud received Him out of their sight.

One days journey and then the wait in Jerusalem.

They gathered in the upper room, about 120 of them in all and were of one accord in prayer and supplication.

Peter rose and reviewed the history of Judas involvement in Christ's ministry including the foretelling covered in Psalms. It was time to pick his replacement and by lots they chose between two, Joseph called Barsabas, who was surnamed Justus, and Matthias.

Acts 1:15 And in those days Peter stood up in the midst of the disciples (altogether the number of names was about a hundred and twenty), and said, 16 “Men and brethren, this Scripture had to be fulfilled, which the Holy Spirit spoke before by the mouth of David concerning Judas, who became a guide to those who arrested Jesus; 17 for he was numbered with us and obtained a part in this ministry.” (Bold Emphasis mine)

18 (Now this man purchased a field with the wages of iniquity; and falling headlong, he burst open in the middle and all his entrails gushed out. 19 And it became known to all those dwelling in Jerusalem; so that field is called in their own language, Akel Dama, that is, Field of Blood.)

Acts 1:20 “For it is written in the Book of Psalms:

‘Let his dwelling place be desolate,
And let no one live in it’;
and,

‘Let another take his office.’

Matthias selected by lots.

Lot Defined:

That by which the fate or portion of one is determined that by which an event is committed to chance, that is, to the determination of Providence as, to cast lots to draw lots.

The lot is cast into the lap, but the whole disposing thereof is of the Lord.

How long did they wait for The Promise of the Father, the Holy Spirit?

Nine days; based on timing from the Feast of First Fruits, Pentecost was seven weeks later. That’s why it’s sometimes called the Feast of Weeks. (Read More)

Coming of the Holy Spirit

Acts 2:1 When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. 2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. 3 Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them. 4 And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

Is this Appearing in Your Church? Angels of Light Worshiping with You?

Angels of light have joined many worship services in our churches, at least the lights are flashing in some mega church gatherings.

Could this be a repeat of the second tempting of Adam and Eve?

When Adam and Eve fell we all lost access to the Garden of Eden and the ability to see all the dimensions of spiritual beings around us.

Eden - Access Denied

The second tempting of Adam and Eve. The devil takes on the form of a beguiling light.

1 WHEN Satan, the hater of all good, saw how they continued in prayer, and how God communed with them, and comforted them, and how He had accepted their offering--Satan made an apparition.

6 When, therefore, Adam and Eve saw the light, fancying it was real, they strengthened their hearts; yet, as they were trembling, Adam said to Eve:--

7 "Look at that great light, and at those many songs of praise, and at that host standing outside that do not come in to us, do not tell us what they say, or whence they come, or what is the meaning of this light; what those praises are; wherefore they have been sent hither, and why they do not come in.

8 "If they were from God, they would come to us in the cave, and would tell us their errand."

9 Then Adam stood up and prayed unto God with a fervent heart, and said:--

10 "O Lord, is there in the world another god than Thou, who created angels and filled them with light, and sent them to keep us, who would come with them?

11 "But, lo, we see these hosts that stand at the mouth of the cave; they are in a great light; they sing loud praises. If they are of some other god than Thou, tell me; and if they are sent by Thee, inform me of the reason for which Thou hast sent them."

12 No sooner had Adam said this, than an angel from God appeared unto him in the cave, who said unto him, "O Adam, fear not. This is Satan and his hosts; he wishes to deceive you as he deceived you at first. For the first time, he was hidden in the serpent; but this time he is come to you in the similitude of an angel of light; in order that, when you worshipped him, he might enthrall you, in the very presence of God."

13 Then the angel went from Adam, and seized Satan at the opening of the cave, and stripped him of the feint he had assumed, and brought him in his own hideous form to Adam and Eve; who were afraid of him when they saw him.

14 And the angel said to Adam, "This hideous form has been his ever since God made him fall from heaven. He could not have come near you in it; therefore did he transform himself into an angel of light."

15 Then the angel drove away Satan and his hosts from Adam and Eve, and said unto them, "Fear not; God who created you, will strengthen you."

16 And the angel went from them.

17 But Adam and Eve remained standing in the cave; no consolation came to them; they were divided in their thoughts.

18 And when it was morning they prayed; and then went out to seek the garden. For their hearts were towards it, and they could get no consolation for having left it.

From the New King James Bible

2 Corinthians 11:14 And no wonder! For Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light.

Mark 13:22 For false christs and false prophets will rise and show signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect.

Don't get caught in this trap, do what Adam did and ask God to verify your perception.

When God gets involved Amazing things happen

As a pilot I have a real appreciation for this story, I hope it will warm your heart as well as it did mine.

There is an inherent respect between warriors that supervenes politics.

The 21-year old American B-17 pilot glanced outside his cockpit and froze.  He blinked hard and looked again, hoping it was just a mirage. But his Co-Pilot stared at the same horrible vision.  "My God, this is a nightmare," the Co-Pilot said.

"He's going to destroy us," the Pilot agreed.

The men were looking at a gray German Messerschmitt fighter hovering just three feet off their wingtip.  It was five days before Christmas 1943, and the fighter had closed in on their crippled American B-17 bomber for the kill.

Brown's Crippled B-17 Stalked by Stigler's ME-109

The B-17 Pilot, Charles Brown, was a 21-year-old West Virginia farm boy on his first combat mission.  His bomber had been shot to pieces by swarming fighters, and his plane was alone, struggling to stay in the skies above Germany. Half his crew was wounded, and the tail gunner was dead, his blood frozen in icicles over the machine guns.

But when Brown and his Co-Pilot, Spencer "Pinky" Luke, looked at the Fighter Pilot again, something odd happened. The German didn't pull the trigger. He stared back at the bomber in amazement and respect. Instead of pressing the attack, he nodded at Brown and saluted. What happened next was one of the most remarkable acts of chivalry recorded during World War II

Stigler pressed his hand over the rosary he kept in his flight jacket.  He eased his index finger off the trigger.  He couldn't shoot.  It would be murder.

Stigler wasn't just motivated by vengeance that day. He also lived by a code.  He could trace his Family's Ancestry to Knights in 16th Century Europe.  He had once studied to be a Priest.  A German Pilot who spared the enemy, though, risked death in Nazi Germany.  If someone reported him, he would be executed.

Yet, Stigler could also hear the voice of his commanding officer, who once told him:  "You follow the rules of war for you -- not your enemy. You fight by rules to keep your humanity."

Alone with the crippled bomber, Stigler changed his mission. He nodded at the American Pilot and began flying in formation so German anti-aircraft gunners on the ground wouldn't shoot down the slow-moving bomber. (The Luftwaffe had B-17's of its own, shot down and rebuilt for secret missions and training.)  Stigler escorted the bomber over the North Sea and took one last look at the American Pilot.  Then he saluted him, peeled his fighter away and returned to Germany.

"Good luck," Stigler said to himself.  "You're in God's hands now..."  Franz Stigler didn't think the big B-17 could make it back to England and wondered for years what happened to the American Pilot and crew he encountered in combat.

As he watched the German fighter peel away that December day, 2nd Lt. Charles Brown wasn't thinking of the philosophical connection between enemies.  He was thinking of survival.  He flew his crippled plan, filled with wounded, back to his base in England and landed with one of four engines knocked out, one failing and barely any fuel left.  After his bomber came to a stop, he leaned back in his chair and put a hand over a pocket Bible he kept in his flight jacket. Then he sat in silence.

Brown flew more missions before the war ended. Life moved on.  He got married, had two Daughters, supervised foreign aid for the U.S. State Department during the Vietnam War and eventually retired to Florida.

Late in life, though, the encounter with the German Pilot began to gnaw at him.  He started having nightmares, but in his dream there would be no act of mercy.  He would awaken just before his bomber crashed.

Brown took on a new mission.  He had to find that German Pilot.  Who was he?  Why did he save my life?  He scoured Military Archives in the U.S. and England.  He attended a Pilots' Reunion and shared his story.  He finally placed an ad in a German Newsletter for former Luftwaffe Pilots, retelling the story and asking if anyone knew the Pilot.

On January 18, 1990, Brown received a letter. He opened it and read:  "Dear Charles, All these years I wondered what happened to that B-17, did she make it home?  Did her crew survive their wounds?  To hear of your survival has filled me with indescribable joy..."

It was Stigler.

He had had left Germany after the war and moved to Vancouver, British Columbia, in 1953.  He became a prosperous Businessman.  Now retired, Stigler told Brown that he would be in Florida come summer and "it sure would be nice to talk about our encounter."  Brown was so excited, though, that he couldn't wait to see Stigler.  He called Directory Assistance for Vancouver and asked whether there was a number for a Franz Stigler.  He dialed the number, and Stigler picked up.

"My God, it's you!"  Brown shouted as tears ran down his cheeks.

Brown had to do more. He wrote a letter to Stigler in which he said: "To say THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU on behalf of my surviving crew members and their families appears totally inadequate."

The two Pilots would meet again, but this time in person, in the lobby of a Florida hotel.  One of Brown's Friends was there to record the Summer Reunion.  Both men looked like retired businessmen:  they were plump, sporting neat ties and formal shirts. They fell into each other' arms and wept and laughed.  They talked about their encounter in a light, jovial tone.

The mood then changed.  Someone asked Stigler what he thought about Brown.  Stigler sighed and his square jaw tightened.  He began to fight back tears before he said in heavily accented English: "I love you, Charlie."

Stigler had lost his Brother, his Friends and his Country.  He was virtually exiled by his Countrymen after the war.  There were 28,000 Pilots who fought for the German Air Force. Only 1,200 survived.

The war cost him everything.  Charlie Brown was the only good thing that came out of World War II for Franz.  It was the one thing he could be proud of.  The meeting helped Brown as well, says his oldest daughter, Dawn Warner.

They met as enemies but Franz Stigler, on left, and Charles Brown, ended up as fishing buddies.

Brown and Stigler became pals. They would take fishing trips together. They would fly cross-country to each other homes and take road trips together to share their story at schools and Veterans' Reunions. Their Wives, Jackie Brown and Hiya Stigler, became Friends.

Brown's Daughter says her Father would worry about Stigler's health and constantly check in on him.

"It wasn't just for show," she says. "They really did feel for each other. They talked about once a week."  As his friendship with Stigler deepened, something else happened to her father, Warner says "The nightmares went away."

Brown had written a letter of thanks to Stigler, but one day, he showed the extent of his gratitude.  He organized a reunion of his surviving crew members, along with their extended families.  He invited Stigler as a Guest of Honor.

During the Reunion, a video was played showing all the faces of the people that now lived -- Children, Grandchildren, Relatives -- because of Stigler's act of Chivalry.  Stigler watched the film from his Seat of Honor.

"Everybody was crying, not just him," Warner says.

Stigler and Brown died within months of each other in 2008.  Stigler was 92, and Brown was 87.  They had started off as Enemies, became Friends, and then something more.

After he died, Warner was searching through Brown's library when she came across a book on German fighter jets. Stigler had given the book to Brown. Both were country boys who loved to read about planes.

Warner opened the book and saw an inscription Stigler had written to Brown:

In 1940, I lost my only brother as a night fighter. On the 20th of December, 4 days before Christmas, I had the chance to save a B-17 from her destruction,
a plane so badly damaged, it was a wonder that she was still flying.

The Pilot, Charlie Brown, is for me as precious as my Brother was.

Thanks Charlie.

Your Brother, Franz

Does the world have any men like this today?

Mark 10:27 But Jesus looked at them and said, “With men it is impossible, but not with God; for with God all things are possible.”

Wait for the Promise of the Father - The Book of Acts Part 1 (Empowerment)

Acts 1:8 But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”

The Promise of the Father will transform you

Luke 3:15 Now as the people were in expectation, and all reasoned in their hearts about John, whether he was the Christ or not, 16 John answered, saying to all, “I indeed baptize you with water; but One mightier than I is coming, whose sandal strap I am not worthy to loose. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.

Baptism with water

Dead to Sin, Alive to God

Romans 6:1 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? 2 Certainly not! How shall we who died to sin live any longer in it? 3 Or do you not know that as many of us as were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death? 4 Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

New Christians are baptized with water to signify their death through water submersion, their new life on rising and their resurrection with Christ. When you are baptized you are showing others that you believe Christ died for your sins, was buried and rose again on the third day.

Romans 6:5 For if we have been united together in the likeness of His death, certainly we also shall be in the likeness of His resurrection, 6 knowing this, that our old man was crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves of sin. 7 For he who has died has been freed from sin. 8 Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with Him, 9 knowing that Christ, having been raised from the dead, dies no more. Death no longer has dominion over Him. 10 For the death that He died, He died to sin once for all; but the life that He lives, He lives to God. 11 Likewise you also, reckon yourselves to be dead indeed to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus our Lord.

The Book of Acts has no ending. It did not stop in the first century and continues on today in those believers who have been empowered by the second baptism given by the Father.

Have you been empowered? If not this study series on the Book of Acts for today will be one you won't want to miss.

In a Word shared Today July 25, 2015 Jesus Said...

Come to Me now before your last heartbeat, for that is all you have.

That sounds very imminent to me. Have you been putting off answering the door to your heart with Jesus knocking?

He also said:

My Word has gone forth and it has been ignored by multitudes, including most of My church. My words of warning that have resounded for several decades now have vastly gone unheeded and now it is time to reap the whirlwind of My just judgments.

America He is speaking to you in this Word

The land will tremble and shake, the rivers will overflow and it will be torn asunder. (The news media are talking about these very events unfolding)

Will it look like this after it trembles and shakes?

(Image from NOWTHEENDBEGINS.COM)

I will come for My people, but you will have to endure until I do come. (Read the entire Word here)

The urgency I feel is for those who are not ready, who have been putting Jesus off! Please drop everything else and get right with your Creator now! Confess your sin, Repent, and ask forgiveness in Jesus name.

Families with loved ones who are not where they need to be in Jesus please keep praying for them and remember this.

1 Corinthians 7:14 For the unbelieving husband is sanctified by the wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified by the husband; otherwise your children would be unclean, but now they are holy.

Psalm 125:1 Those who trust in the Lord are like Mount Zion, which cannot be moved, but abides forever. 2 As the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the Lord surrounds His people from this time forth and forever.
