Christ Born of Mary
Luke 2:1 And it came to pass in those days that a decree went out from Caesar Augustus that all the world should be registered. 

2 This census first took place while Quirinius was governing Syria. 

3 So all went to be registered, everyone to his own city.

4 Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judea, to the city of David, which is called Bethlehem, because he was of the house and lineage of David, 5 to be registered with Mary, his betrothed wife,[a] who was with child. 6 So it was, that while they were there, the days were completed for her to be delivered. 7 And she brought forth her firstborn Son, and wrapped Him in swaddling cloths, and laid Him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn.

Glory in the Highest
Luke 2:8 Now there were in the same country shepherds living out in the fields, keeping watch over their flock by night. 
9 And behold,[b] an angel of the Lord stood before them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were greatly afraid. 
10 Then the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people.

The Wise Men or Magi

Matthew 2:1 Now after Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king, behold, wise men from the East came to Jerusalem, 

2 saying, “Where is He who has been born King of the Jews? For we have seen His star in the East and have come to worship Him.”

Why we have hope and desire to share that hope with you. There is no greater need during the Christmas holiday season within all people than the need for hope.

The reasons for our hope

Colossians 1:12 giving thanks to the Father who has qualified us to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in the light. 

13 He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, 

14 in whom we have redemption through His blood,[c] the forgiveness of sins. 

15 He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. 

16 For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him. 

17 And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist. 

18 And He is the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things He may have the preeminence.

Reconciled in Christ

19 For it pleased the Father that in Him all the fullness should dwell, 

20 and by Him to reconcile all things to Himself, by Him, whether things on earth or things in heaven, having made peace through the blood of His cross. 

21 And you, who once were alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now He has reconciled 

22 in the body of His flesh through death, to present you holy, and blameless, and above reproach in His sight— 

23 if indeed you continue in the faith, grounded and steadfast, and are not moved away from the hope of the gospel which you heard, which was preached to every creature under heaven, of which I, Paul, became a minister.

Sacrificial Service for Christ

24 I now rejoice in my sufferings for you, and fill up in my flesh what is lacking in the afflictions of Christ, for the sake of His body, which is the church, 

25 of which I became a minister according to the stewardship from God which was given to me for you, to fulfill the word of God, 

26 the mystery which has been hidden from ages and from generations, but now has been revealed to His saints. 

27 To them God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles: which[d] is Christ in you, the hope of glory. 

28 Him we preach, warning every man and teaching every man in all wisdom, that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus. 

29 To this end I also labor, striving according to His working which works in me mightily.

ONLY BEGOTTEN SON: (John 1:18) No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.

OUR PASSOVER: (1 Corinthians 5:7) Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us:

PRINCE OF LIFE: (Acts 3:15) And killed the Prince of life, whom God hath raised from the dead; whereof we are witnesses.

TRUE LIGHT: (John 1:9) That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.

TRUE VINE: (John 15:1) I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman.

TRUTH: (John 1:14) And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

WITNESS: (Isaiah 55:4) Behold, I have given him for a witness to the people, a leader and commander to the people.

WORD: (John 1:1) In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

WORD OF GOD: (Revelation 19:13) And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.

Twin Beech 18

This is one of my favorite airplanes and is probably one of the reasons I am a bit hard of hearing. This wonderful bird will make an honest pilot out of those who think they have all aspects of aviation mastered.

What I am about to share is a true story about myself flying a similar Beech 18 on a mail contract out of Victoria Texas in the mid 1970's. I operated this aircraft on wheels and floats during my aviation career and have had more exciting moments in the Beech 18 than any other aircraft I've flown.  Before I share my experience let's take a short familiarization flight.

McCoy Road Story 

In 1975 I was living in Victoria Texas, working as a night airmail pilot. My route began in Victoria Texas with stops at Houston, Lufkin, and Dallas with a return route in reverse order. My typical load consisted of 2,000 pounds of mail sacks and boxes which I had the pleasure of loading/unloading at each stop. 

My Beech 18 was rock solid but it just had the basic necessities when it came to equipment, no fancy things like weather radar and flight directors.

My Office

As you can see, I used state of the art 1950's equipment and when it all worked life was good. Flying a night airmail route in southeast Texas has certain thrills built in when you are not equipped to see into the clouds, such as hail and...

Folks you can't see these in the dark of night!

I had one piece of equipment that would point out areas of lightening but gave no information on distance. When it came to Texas size thunderstorms my equipment could be compared to taking a knife to a gun fight . I saw a storm topping 70,000 feet one night and fortunately there was enough lightening in the area for me to avoid it.

Automatic Direction Finder (ADF)/Non-directional Beacon (NDB) 

The NDB needle point would point to lightening flashes in my vicinity. If there were a lot of flashes, the needle would dance all over the gauge making it pretty useless for navigation. 

On January 31, 1975, my 31st birthday, I departed Victoria, Texas on schedule. My flight through Houston, Lufkin, and into Dallas arrived about 2330 (11:30 pm). It was not a night for sight seeing as the entire route was engulfed in clouds consisting of multiple cloud layers.

This was about all I saw at my various stops.

The load I picked up in Dallas contained 30,000 Social Security checks for folks in Victoria and the surrounding area, which they were all looking forward to receiving on February 1st. 

The flight back began to get interesting upon arrival in Houston at approximately 0200 (2:00 am) February 1, 1975. The weather had deteriorated to a cloud ceiling of 100 feet with visibility at a quarter of a mile, which was below landing minimums. 

A DC-3 was on approach ahead of me. Due to the weather he said he couldn't see anything at minimums and executed a missed approach.

Houston approach advised me the airport was below landing minimums and asked for my intentions. A quick review of the weather indicated every airport within 1,000 miles was below landing minimums: I scratched those hopes and declared an emergency for no available alternate airport in fuel range.

Houston  then cleared me for the approach and advised me to report "landing" and "clear of the runway." After landing I had a couple miles to taxi in the fog so I continued to listen to the airport towers communication with the DC-3 inbound on his second attempt.

Just before I arrived at the mail terminal, the tower lost contact with the DC-3. As it turned out, the DC-3 hit a radio tower 75 feet above the ground and crashed two miles short of the runway. The crew of 2 and 3 passengers were killed. 4 passengers were seriously injured and 7 passengers received minor injuries. It is amazing anyone survived!

 The DC-3 crash closed the airport for a time. My scheduled departure for Victoria was delayed about two hours. I topped off my fuel tanks based on reports of marginal weather in Victoria just in case I needed it.

I was finally cleared for departure about 0400 (4:00 am).The flight to Victoria was about 45 minutes at 4,000 feet. It was beautiful between cloud layers.  

As I approached my descent point to begin the approach procedure for Victoria my aircraft experienced a complete electrical failure. I thought this shouldn't be a big deal I'll just switch to the emergency power source and continue on. When I flipped the emergency power switch all I saw was a flash of light. The backup system also failed. 

I thought, well this is great. With my system failure I couldn't talk to anyone and had no ability to navigate let alone shoot an approach down through the clouds.

I had some decisions to make. I knew where I was in relation to Victoria when I lost electrical power. I had another three and a half hours of fuel remaining and about an hour and half remaining before first daylight. I also knew the weather was terrible anywhere within fuel range. My assigned altitude was below Houston's radar coverage so flying an emergency pattern would be of no use. I was completely on my own. However, I did begin flying a triangle pattern with 2 minute straight legs just to maintain my position while I sorted things out. The winds were calm so this kept me fairly close to my last confirmed position.

My options were nothing to write home about, in fact, they were down right ugly based on the weather forecast.

1. I was near Victoria and about 30 miles from the Gulf of Mexico. One option would be to fly southeast for 30 minutes to get out over the Gulf at first light. Once offshore I could descend down through the clouds and hopefully see something before flying into the water or worse yet hitting an oil platform. My hope would then be to visually approach the beech followed by a landing on the beach. Not a good option in my opinion, too much was left to chance.
2. I could maintain my position and continue flying the 2 minute leg triangle pattern while hoping for weather improvement with the onset of daylight. 

I chose option two as the better choice. However, this choice had huge drawbacks since fog generally gets worse right after sunrise. 

The odds of this ending badly were very high and the odds of success were even slimmer based on the weather forecast. The worst part was, I knew better than to depart Houston with the weather being so marginal, but when you fly the mail on contract you are under a great deal of pressure to make the flight anyway. The mail must go through against all odds!

I couldn't believe I had done this to myself. Even with the DC-3 in Houston crashing on approach, I still went against sound judgment and made this flight. At this point the best judgment call I had made all night was adding extra fuel in Houston. It gave a lot of extra time to consider my plight while flying this triangle before I ran out of fuel and was forced down.

I had this feeling in my gut telling me not to leave Houston, but did I listen to it? NO! So I began to have a conversation with Jesus and confessed that I had put myself in this situation by going against the gut feeling He had provided me in Houston. I asked for His forgiveness for being so stupid and asked Him to help me get out of this spot alive. I asked Him if He would give me a place to land safely. I also told Him that in the future I would try much harder to make responsible decisions.

By this time I had completed 10 to 15 triangle patterns with nothing but clouds below me. As I made the next turn in the triangle, I noticed an area ahead of me that appeared darker than the rest of the cloud layer I was flying above, which was not there on the previous patterns.  I realized Jesus was was answering my prayer and providing a solution. That dark spot turned into an area free of clouds all the way to the ground! It looked somewhat similar to this. 

I flew over to it and sure enough it was an area with a radius of about five miles. With all the weather reports stating there were no areas within a 1,000 miles, when I left Houston, that were suitable for visual flight. The sight of this left me rejoicing! There is nothing compared to seeking the Lord in desperation and having Him provide the very hope you need at that moment in time! 

I flew around in this hole for an hour waiting for the Sun to rise so I could see what God had opened just for me. All the while I was praising Him for His grace, which He showered on such a character as myself in spite of myself.

As the Sun began to rise I could see there was one straight dirt road that looked just wide enough for the main gear of my aircraft and long enough to land on. First I needed to fly around in the area and make sure there was no airport available that could have spared me any potential embarrassment of landing on a road. I flew by a water tower that had Bloomington Texas written on it but I had no idea where that was in relation to Victoria.

By now it was getting lighter so, I flew along side the road to evaluate my landing area. 

After deciding there were no airports within the area the Lord had provided. I noticed three items of concern:

1. High tension power lines ran across the road that I chose for the approach end.
2. There was a fence running along side the road that had one post sticking up higher than the others. Would my wing clear this post?
3. On each side of the road was a ditch angling down from the road leaving no room for error when it came to wheel placement during this landing.

As I was flying along side the road, my right engine began cutting out and miss firing. I took this as a hint from the Lord that I had better get on with it and land before anything else could go wrong. After all, He had given me what I asked for, a place to land.

I flew a downwind leg (a long level flight path parallel to the landing runway but in the opposite direction) looking the area over once again. I decided I would have to fly under the power lines on final approach to have enough distance to stop. 

I made the approach. 

Upon landing I kept the tail up until the wing cleared the high fence post. 

The Plane rolled to a stop. 

Whew!!!!!

After shutting down the engines, I climbed out of the cockpit to view my surroundings. On my left was a farmhouse and on the opposite side of the road was a black and white road sign. 

IT SAID McCoy Rd! 

There I was staring at the road sign with my name on it. Not only did God did give me a road to land on, He gave me one displaying my name! At that moment I praised the Lord and thanked Him for saving my life.

After taking a few minutes to gather my wits, I walked over to the farm house and knocked on the door. A gentleman answered and I introduced myself as James E. McCoy. 

He said, "Son I think you've come home, the name of the fella that owns that property along the road you landed on is also James E. McCoy.  Are you related?" 

I responded, "no." However, I was sure happy to see this road after asking the Lord to give me an option since I had lost my electrical system along with my navigation and communication ability. I then asked if I could use his phone to call and close my flight plan.

After a quick "sure come on in" I was on the phone cancelling my flight plan. I was two and half hours over due and they thought I had crashed like the DC-3 had previously. Much to their relief I was down safe and alive.

For many years following this event, Flight Service would ask if I was the guy who landed on McCoy Rd?  This question always brought a smile to my face. Isn't God amazing!

Does God answer prayer? My answer is YES, even when we don't deserve it! Praise the Lord He lives!

I decided to add a page to cover some of threats we have to deal with to stay healthy in today's environment. I will add to this page from time to time as new information becomes available.

This is advice coming from a layman not a doctor covering things I have learned over the years and just recently.

Our Son Called & Said I HAVE CANCER & No Insurance

In January 2011 we got a call from our 24 year old son saying I have Cancer.

He said the doctors in Southeast Alaska had done all they could for him and recommended further evaluation and treatment in the lower 48 where they had the necessary equipment to treat him.

Our hearts sank, especially his mom's; it's the kind of call you don't want to ever receive from your children or any other family member.

He had bone cancer similar to the pictures displayed here.

We had him come down and stay with us for treatment. He brought his CAT Scans and doctors analysis; when he got here and showed us the pictures we discovered the whole story. In addition to the bone cancer he had several masses in his rib cage, liver, and spleen plus an expanding bump on his head which was about the size of a silver dollar and a quarter inch in height resulting in horrible headaches that nothing he tried would help.

Were do you start to tackle this prognosis? He has no insurance, he's not covered under our insurance and we have very little money in the bank. Do you know how much standard medical treatment costs for this disease, not to mention the dismal results that can be expected? The track record of complete recovery from bone cancer is not encouraging, in fact I lost an uncle to bone cancer and traditional treatment.

We started with prayer seeking God's direction and guidance. Our Lord knew this was coming long before any of us were aware of it and He had already prepared me for what was to come.

I had been retired for seven years and as a result of having my own bladder cancer scare 10 years previously I had done a lot research regarding natural remedies for cancer treatment, but would he and his mother have the ability to over come the fear instilled by doctors regarding traditional treatment and their insistence that time is of the essence if there is to be any success at all, to risk his life to dad and home cures?

As it turned out he had more confidence in my research than he had faith in the traditional medical treatment methods. I had all the necessary items to begin home treatment by the time he arrived and we started immediately. 

I verified the cancer was in fact present through a Laboratory in the Philippines using their unique testing procedures, we needed to verify that the CAT Scan results were indeed what the doctors believed them to be. I am not a doctor and did not have the expertise. The report came back confirming cancer.

We began treatment within a couple hours following his arrival; he was pale, lethargic, very sick, and in a lot of pain, especially the headache and rib cage area. He said he had awful headaches for the past month and that even prescription medication did not give him any relief. 

I had acquired a sound wave device designed to the same frequency that healthy human cells emit. This device gives the healthy cells a boost, kills parasites and abnormal cell structures; the machine was also noted for relieving migraine headaches so we started with it on his head and scheduled 3 treatments a day for about 15 minutes each. Within one minute his headache was gone and never came back during the remaining 8 weeks of treatment.

In addition to this sound wave device we used massive doses of nutritional supplements along with a drastic change in diet all geared to balance the bodies pH level and boost the immune system. He began to feel better within a couple days and within 5 days had color back in his face. In 8 weeks he was cancer free and completely healed; we verified this result with an additional lab test in the Philippines and followup X rays. The X ray was completely clear with the bone lesions and tumor masses completely gone from all affected areas.

Who gets the glory, praise, and thanks for this miraculous outcome? Our Creator and Healer and in my case He was my teacher as He led me through those many years of research. He is worthy to be praised! 

 The first source of healing is our creator, Jesus Christ.  He is where everything starts.  He is the true healing power.  

The bible states, "But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal (Natural, Earthly) bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you" Romans 8:11.  

The same God that raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you and will give life to your body.  In other words He will heal it.

It is very important that you believe in His healing powers.  Your thoughts and attitude toward the situation are key.  If you doubt such a healing, then healing may not happen. 

In Mark chapter 5, A woman touches Jesus cloths believing that just one touch will heal her.  When Jesus feels this he finds her in the crowed and states, “Your faith has healed you. Go in peace and be freed from your suffering.” If a simple touch of the robe healed her, imagine what could happen for you as He dwells within.

  

Next month will be 3 years and I am pleased to say he is still cancer free! Thank you Jesus!

1. The treatment plan was an eight week period resulting in complete healing.
2. Our total out of pocket direct medical cost was $513.00.

God's People Have Inside Information

Inside the circle is where all the fellowship is; it's where friends gather to chat and plan their day.

If you are outside the circle looking in you are missing out.

You can't enjoy the warmth of friendship until you enter in, so why are you standing outside?

Jesus is my friend, He is from above, I am from below, He is Holy and worthy of my praise and servitude but He invited me into His inner circle and I accepted. In earthly terms there aren't words that can describe it, some experiences just leave you speechless. Being in the presence of the most Holy God is earth shaking, in the inner circle it is wonderful beyond words but from the outside looking in it can be intimidating! 

Those who are His are His friends.

John 15:9 “As the Father loved Me, I also have loved you; abide in My love. 
10 If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love, just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and abide in His love.
11 “These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be full. 
12 This is My commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you. 
13 Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends. 
14 You are My friends if you do whatever I command you.

When I first met Him I was on my face filled with fear and trembling unable to move under the power of His presence! I was a sinner of sinners, He knew it and all my secrets were laid out before Him with no place to hide. I couldn't utter a sound as He reviewed my actions that led to this meeting and I knew I was guilty and worthy of conviction. I was condemned by my own actions to experience what I had dished out in life FOREVER! I can't tell you how scary that was, there aren't words to describe it. Then He said ...

I have come to offer you this last invitation to enter in with Me and accept My gift of Eternal Life, the choice is yours but you must choose now! At this point I was able to speak and I asked Him if I could have a few minutes to think about it; He said yes but your decision will be final...

My rebellion had turned my life into chaos and made a basket case out of me and when looking back now I can hardly believe I asked for time to think about my options. When you are under the influence of darkness making decisions, especially a decision of this magnitude is not easy. After a few minutes...

I broke down in tears of repentance and accepted His offer of forgiveness; at that moment it felt like a lightening bolt started in my feet and exploded out the top of my head and I was free and alive!

Today, 40+ years later He calls me His friend and as His friend I know what is ahead for all of us. As a child I was religious, as a young adult I was rebellious, and now I have moved from a religion to a relationship.

Is He calling you to a meeting? Move quickly time is short and He wants you in the inner circle as His friend. How many other friends do you have that have laid down their life for you?

Our Creator Weeps as the Nations Rage

We were created in God's image to walk with Him all the days of our lives and we started out that way in Genesis in the Garden of Eden; it was wonderful beyond description! 

Life in God’s Garden

Genesis 2:8 The Lord God planted a garden eastward in Eden, and there He put the man whom He had formed. 
9 And out of the ground the Lord God made every tree grow that is pleasant to the sight and good for food. The tree of life was also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. 
10 Now a river went out of Eden to water the garden, and from there it parted and became four riverheads. 
11 The name of the first is Pishon; it is the one which skirts the whole land of Havilah, where there is gold. 
12 And the gold of that land is good. Bdellium and the onyx stone are there. 
13 The name of the second river is Gihon; it is the one which goes around the whole land of Cush. 
14 The name of the third river is Hiddekel;[b] it is the one which goes toward the east of Assyria. The fourth river is the Euphrates.
15 Then the Lord God took the man and put him in the garden of Eden to tend and keep it.

We all know Adam and Eve ate of the tree of knowledge and God surely wept.

He continues to weep today as He looks over His Creation and watches man's effort to destroy it all from unborn babies to the very air we breathe.

The Eternal Word

America used to reflect God's blessings and the whole world desired to be part of this great country; what happened?

Darkness entered the land

A man who has rejected God then continues only through God's grace to live and breathe. He gives you every breath, think about that, and He continues to give that breath even to those who reject Him.

Genesis 2:7 And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being.

America like a man began it's journey enlightened by the Spirit of God but then in recent days we have entered into darkness and have lost our way. Before we are no more I would like to pay tribute to what we once stood for.

In the Netherlands, the American Cemetery and Memorial is in the village of Margraten, about six miles from Maastricht. There lie buried over 8,000 American soldiers killed in the battles to liberate Holland in the fall and winter of 1944-5.

The Dutch hold an annual memorial concert every September at the cemetery to remember and honor the Americans who died in the effort to eject the German army from Holland. Many of the fallen GIs, were "adopted" by a Dutch family and to this day their grave sites are decorated each year by their Dutch "family." Many of these families keep the soldiers portrait in their home, displayed in a place of honor and fathers pass this obligation down to their sons.

This version of the original "taps" music is played by a 13 year old Dutch girl named Melissa Venema. The conductor of the orchestra is Andre Rieu from Holland . Many of us have never have heard taps played in its entirety . The original version was called Last Post, and was written by Daniel Butterfield in 1801. It was rather lengthy and formal, as you will hear in this clip, so in 1862 it was shortened to 24 notes and re-named Taps.

All of This is Normal - REALLY - is it?

You are one heartbeat away from eternity; are you ready to meet Jesus?

Have you looked around at all the things that are going on in the world over the past few years? Do you consider all these activities normal or the new normal?

God is shaking Heaven and Earth are you paying attention or do you think all of this just normal? Jesus could come at any moment and you are thinking this is normal when you should be looking for Him at any moment. His return is imminent! How do I know? He told me before hand what to watch and look for as the signs of His coming. 

The Signs of the Times and the End of the Age

Matthew 24:3 Now as He sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately, saying, “Tell us, when will these things be? And what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?”
4 And Jesus answered and said to them: “Take heed that no one deceives you. 
5 For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many. 
6 And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all[a] these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. 
7 For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences,[b] and earthquakes in various places. 
8 All these are the beginning of sorrows.
9 “Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you, and you will be hated by all nations for My name’s sake. 
10 And then many will be offended, will betray one another, and will hate one another. 
11 Then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many. 
12 And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold. 
13 But he who endures to the end shall be saved. 
14 And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.

All of the signs are present for the beginning of sorrows; the video next will provide you a quick review of these graphic events that are NOT normal IMHO. 

In a Nutshell

Who is He coming for? Only those who are looking for Him; now is not the time to be caught up in distractions - run it's a trap! 

When was the last time you took your Bible and joined Him in your prayer closet? Repent and get right with Him now, tomorrow may not come.

Time is short, very short, please cry out to Him while He can still be found.
