When you wake and start your day you take care of your body's needs.
The routines require little thought because you follow your established pattern everyday; where is your mind during this time?
Probably on what to have to eat with that cup of coffee or tea. To maintain good health requires adequate rest, adequate nourishment, and adequate hydration. If you miss any of these three items your day just won't be as good as it could be.
Humans are created in God's image; God is Tribune = the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, three yet one.
Humans consist of three parts in God's image, they are:
All three parts of the human being need nourishment to grow and survive.
Your spirit and soul are eternal. Your body may give you 70-100 years and then it's used up and returns to dust.
What parts are the most important? I think the spirit and soul are, they live forever, eternally, and should get the most of our focus and attention. When we are born again our spirit is filled when the Holy Ghost/Spirit moves in and puts us in direct constant contact with our Creator and Savior.
Your body needs food and essential care every day as does your soul and spirit. The more you nourish your spirit the more it brings your soul in line with Gods direction for your life. Spiritual nourishment comes from the living eternal Word, the Bible.
John 1:1 [ The Eternal Word ] In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
If you don't care for your spirit on a daily basis you'll soon be off into the dark corners of the world enjoying the lusts of the body.
The Soul:
Your soul is your mind, your will and your emotions. What do you nourish it with? God's Word, or Rap music, horror films, romance novels, daily news, and work projects?
Your soul/mind thinks like the world instead of like God. This is true because your soul/will also determines your actions. We have all heard the saying that we are what we eat when it comes to the body. The same principal applies to our mind, we are what we fill it with or at the very least our thoughts and actions are determined by our mind.
We react to situations based on what we know as determined by our mind. In the natural you would never ask yourself 'what would Jesus do' before making a decision.
Your Spirit:
Nothing is wrong with your spirit if you are born again; the life of God is in there. You are indwelt by the Holy Ghost. But you are hindered from living a spiritual life by the soul/mind that thinks like the world instead of like God.
Spiritual growth is determined by how much your soul has been changed by the Word of God.
Your soul is changed by what? The Word of God. Do you attend church once a week for an hour? This would be like a weekly snack on God's Word unless you read it every day in addition.
By reading God's Word on a daily basis it gradually brings your mind into Gods realm and out the worlds view when it comes to dealing with situations.

God's Word is the Bread of Life and the Water of Life and that is eternal.
Bread of Life
John 6:33 For the bread of God is He who comes down from heaven and gives life to the world.”
John 6:35 And Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst.
John 6:48 I am the bread of life.
John 6:51 I am the living bread which came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever; and the bread that I shall give is My flesh, which I shall give for the life of the world.
Water of Life
John 4:14 but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life.”
Revelation 21:6 And He said to me, “It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. I will give of the fountain of the water of life freely to him who thirsts.
Revelation 22 [ The River of Life ] And he showed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding from the throne of God and of the Lamb. 2 In the middle of its street, and on either side of the river, was the tree of life, which bore twelve fruits, each tree yielding its fruit every month. The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.
Revelation 22:17 And the Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” And let him who hears say, “Come!” And let him who thirsts come. Whoever desires, let him take the water of life freely.
Connect with Him daily and get to know Him who gives you every breath and wants to be your friend. Yes friend.
John 15:15 No longer do I call you servants, for a servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all things that I heard from My Father I have made known to you.
