Will Your Name Still be Listed When the Books are Opened?

Are you at risk of being blotted out of The Book of Life?

Revelation 3:5 He who overcomes shall be clothed in white garments, and I will not blot out his name from the Book of Life; but I will confess his name before My Father and before His angels.

Note: He who overcomes will still be listed when the Books are opened. Did you know some names written in the Book of Life are at risk of being blotted out?

Did your church teach you how important it is to have your name written in The Book of Life? Did they also teach you how to ensure that your name will not be blotted out of The Book of Life? In this post we'll look at what God shares in His Word for our guidance.

Exodus 32:32 Yet now, if You will forgive their sin—but if not, I pray, blot me out of Your book which You have written.”

33 And the Lord said to Moses, “Whoever has sinned against Me, I will blot him out of My book.

The True Vine

John 15:1 “I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser. 2 Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away;

Matthew 7:22 Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ 23 And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’ 

Luke 13:25 When once the Master of the house has risen up and shut the door, and you begin to stand outside and knock at the door, saying, ‘Lord, Lord, open for us,’ and He will answer and say to you, ‘I do not know you, where you are from,’ 26 then you will begin to say, ‘We ate and drank in Your presence, and You taught in our streets.’ 27 But He will say, ‘I tell you I do not know you, where you are from. Depart from Me, all you workers of iniquity.’

I can't imagine anything scarier than hearing the words, 'Depart from Me'.

Many claim to be Christians, some are lying while others truly believe they are Christians but took a wrong turn somewhere on their journey. 

Are you in danger of being blotted out? You may be thinking how could this be? I was saved when I accepted Jesus years ago as a child. What could I have done that would change that listing in His Book of Life? I go to church every week and pay my tithes, I don't understand how this could be.

God lists reasons for blotting out names written down in The Book of Life in His Word.

A Warning

Revelation 22:18 For I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds to these things, God will add to him the plagues that are written in this book; 19 and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part from the Book of Life, from the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book. 

When churches and preachers give God's Word their own spin their troubles begin. For churches their own spin winds up becoming church doctrine. Doctrine of this type is formed and developed by men, not God, and is often designed to serve their own purpose.

The only safe doctrine is God's unchanged Word, every other doctrine falls short and puts the authors in grave danger as evidenced in Revelation 22. In the first century AD all believers were in one accord with one mind; today were have hundreds of groups all with their own doctrines and all in danger of Revelation 22's warning. 

1 Timothy 4:1 [ The Great Apostasy ] Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons,

God also describes and explains what a true Christian is in the Book of John.

The True Vine

John 15 “I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser. 2 Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit. 3 You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you. 4 Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me.

5 “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. 6 If anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned. 7 If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you. 8 By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples.

In Summary

We see in John 15 the Lord caring for the Vine and the branches like you would care for your fruit trees. You would cut away the unproductive branches to promote and improve the health and productivity of the branches that are producing fruit. Your fruit trees may be apples while the Lords fruit would be saved souls entering eternal salvation and The Book of Life.

Are you producing fruit? or Have you been unproductive over the years?

Is your church giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons? Are they promoting political correctness or Biblical family standards along with the need for repentance and regeneration through the shed Blood of Jesus? If you don't know you had better figure it out and soon.

As in Luke 13 maybe you have attended church and fellow-shipped with others but were never introduced to the Head of the church, Jesus Christ. Would He know you as one of His if you never called out or spoke to Him?

Maybe as in Matthew 7 you attended a church filled with wonders and prophecies but they were false and deceptive. Maybe the wonders and prophecies were real but you were just an observer sitting in the back row close to the door. How would you know the real from false?

The key to avoiding all these pitfalls and the remedy to your unproductive state can all be found in the King James Version of God's Word. (See note at the end)

John 5:37 And the Father Himself, who sent Me, has testified of Me. You have neither heard His voice at any time, nor seen His form. 38 But you do not have His word abiding in you, because whom He sent, Him you do not believe. 39 You search the Scriptures, for in them you think you have eternal life; and these are they which testify of Me.

To have His Word abiding in you must be familiar with it from daily reading and understand He is relating who He is to you through your reading. The Holy Spirit confirms His testimony within you as you read providing you are saved and have received the gift of the Holy Spirit.

Acts 2:38 Then Peter said to them, “Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

Acts 3:19 Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord,

To determine the source of wonders and prophesies you must compare what is observed and said with God's word.

Acts 17:11 These were more fair-minded than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness, and searched the Scriptures daily to find out whether these things were so.

Test the spirits

1 John 4 Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world. By this you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God, and every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God. And this is the spirit of the Antichrist, which you have heard was coming, and is now already in the world.

Note: Why do I say King James Version/New King James Version? I use both of these and KJV has the final say. Other versions available often leave out very important and critical information. Click here for a quick comparison between the KJV and the NIV; you will see for yourself why it matters which version of the Bible you use.

Acts 1-5 - You Can Not Hide From the Holy Spirit

Your most intimate secret s is fully visible to the Holy Spirit at all times.

In Him all things consist

 Colossians 1:17 And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist.

The Holy Spirit knows all things by His very nature as the third member of the God Head. He is Omnipotent, All Powerful, Creator of all things both seen and unseen.

Colossians 1:16 For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him. 

Those following Jesus sold all and contributed all to the common good of the group. They held nothing back knowing all their needs would be met in Jesus.

Now with the Holy Spirit knowing all things He advises those He empowers with critical information needed to fulfill His will in any and all circumstances. We have the following example in Acts chapter 5.

Lying to the Holy Spirit

Acts 5:5 But a certain man named Ananias, with Sapphira his wife, sold a possession. 2 And he kept back part of the proceeds, his wife also being aware of it, and brought a certain part and laid it at the apostles’ feet. 3 But Peter said, “Ananias, why has Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit and keep back part of the price of the land for yourself? 4 While it remained, was it not your own? And after it was sold, was it not in your own control? Why have you conceived this thing in your heart? You have not lied to men but to God.”

5 Then Ananias, hearing these words, fell down and breathed his last. So great fear came upon all those who heard these things. 6 And the young men arose and wrapped him up, carried him out, and buried him.

7 Now it was about three hours later when his wife came in, not knowing what had happened. 8 And Peter answered her, “Tell me whether you sold the land for so much?”

She said, “Yes, for so much.”

9 Then Peter said to her, “How is it that you have agreed together to test the Spirit of the Lord? Look, the feet of those who have buried your husband are at the door, and they will carry you out.” 10 Then immediately she fell down at his feet and breathed her last. And the young men came in and found her dead, and carrying her out, buried her by her husband. 11 So great fear came upon all the church and upon all who heard these things.

Following this the apostles continued ministering to the people and great signs and wonders followed them. 

Imagine walking down a street lined with sick and tormented people of all ages lining the curb in the hope of being healed and set free from their tormentors. If you have a good imagination you could almost hear the screams of demons leaving those they possessed or oppressed among shouts of praise and joy at being able to walk when you had arrived bed ridden. Folks this is the way church should be and is the way God intended it to be.

Continuing Power in the Church

Acts 5:12 And through the hands of the apostles many signs and wonders were done among the people. And they were all with one accord in Solomon’s Porch. 13 Yet none of the rest dared join them, but the people esteemed them highly. 14 And believers were increasingly added to the Lord, multitudes of both men and women, 15 so that they brought the sick out into the streets and laid them on beds and couches, that at least the shadow of Peter passing by might fall on some of them. 16 Also a multitude gathered from the surrounding cities to Jerusalem, bringing sick people and those who were tormented by unclean spirits, and they were all healed.

The Days of Awe Conference – A Solemn Assembly in Sandpoint, Idaho – September 18th to 20th

"Believers from all over the northwest will be gathering in Sandpoint, Idaho from September 18th to September 20th for a weekend of fellowship, corporate prayer and repentance. Acts 2 When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. 2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting.

Acts Part 1-4 Nothing has changed it is the same today!

The Apostles Peter and John were forbidden to preach in the name of Jesus!

Today in America our military forbids the name of Jesus; many of our churches now fall under state and federal control because of their tax exempt status, they must do as the state commands.

Our churches no longer serve God, they serve the state. The saving grace taught in the Bible can no longer be shared with those needing to hear it from these churches.

We are living in the Book of Acts! Now! Today! As we read from Acts Chapter 4:

Peter and John Arrested


Acts 4 Now as they spoke to the people, the priests, the captain of the temple, and the Sadducees came upon them, 2 being greatly disturbed that they taught the people and preached in Jesus the resurrection from the dead.

A man crippled since birth gets healed by the power of God and is joyfully dancing in their midst. The Sadducees were not happy and took action to stop the preaching of the resurrection of Jesus Christ and through Him comes salvation. (Sounds just like America today)

Addressing the Sanhedrin

Acts 4:8 Then Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, said to them, “Rulers of the people and elders of Israel: 9 If we this day are judged for a good deed done to a helpless man, by what means he has been made well, 10 let it be known to you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead, by Him this man stands here before you whole.

In America today preachers are told not to use the name of Jesus to end their public prayers, not to give counsel using Jesus name, and not to share Jesus name publicly. (Sounds just like the Book of Acts)

The Name of Jesus Forbidden

Acts 4:13 Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were uneducated and untrained men, they marveled. And they realized that they had been with Jesus. 14 And seeing the man who had been healed standing with them, they could say nothing against it. 15 But when they had commanded them to go aside out of the council, they conferred among themselves, 16 saying, “What shall we do to these men? For, indeed, that a notable miracle has been done through them is evident to all who dwell in Jerusalem, and we cannot deny it. 17 But so that it spreads no further among the people, let us severely threaten them, that from now on they speak to no man in this name.”

18 So they called them and commanded them not to speak at all nor teach in the name of Jesus. 19 But Peter and John answered and said to them, “Whether it is right in the sight of God to listen to you more than to God, you judge. 20 For we cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard.”

What did the Apostles do? They certainly did not do what many Americans have done and accomplished through being politically correct as mandated by the government overlords. Americans have meekly become silent and obedient to the government. The Gospel of Christ has been silenced to a large extent by fear and intimidation. Look at what the Apostles did and go and do likewise starting now.

Prayer for Boldness

Acts 4:23 And being let go, they went to their own companions and reported all that the chief priests and elders had said to them. 24 So when they heard that, they raised their voice to God with one accord and said: “Lord, You are God, who made heaven and earth and the sea, and all that is in them, 25 who by the mouth of Your servant David have said:

‘Why did the nations rage,
And the people plot vain things?
26 The kings of the earth took their stand,
And the rulers were gathered together
Against the Lord and against His Christ.’
27 “For truly against Your holy Servant Jesus, whom You anointed, both Herod and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles and the people of Israel, were gathered together 28 to do whatever Your hand and Your purpose determined before to be done. 29 Now, Lord, look on their threats, and grant to Your servants that with all boldness they may speak Your word, 30 by stretching out Your hand to heal, and that signs and wonders may be done through the name of Your holy Servant Jesus.”


31 And when they had prayed, the place where they were assembled together was shaken; and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and they spoke the word of God with boldness.

AMEN

This man also believes we are living the book of Acts. Listen to what he says is occurring in America and the world right now. Do you feel the fore-shock coming?

Closing thought: Ichabod - The glory of the Lord has departed.

Easton's Bible Dictionary

When the tidings of the disastrous defeat of the Israelites in the battle against the Philistines near to Mizpeh were carried to Shiloh, the wife of Phinehas "was near to be delivered. And when she heard the tidings that the ark of God was taken, and that her father-in-law and her husband were dead, she bowed 

herself and travailed" (1 Samuel 4:19-22). In her great distress she regarded not "the women that stood by her," but named the child that was born "Ichabod" i.e., no glory, saying, "The glory is departed from Isreal;" and with that word on her lips she expired.

The Glory of the Lord has departed American leaders and policy makers but HAS NOT and WILL NOT depart from those who are His - YOU born again professing believers in Jesus Christ! HE LIVES! Rejoice in Him!

Knowing the Enemy - Lucifer the light bearer – Satan the Transformer

We are in the battle of our lives, the intensity is growing daily; like any competitive challenge you gain an advantage when know your opponents game plan and his next move.

In June of 2014 we looked at some of Satan the Transformer's appearances, they can be quickly reviewed here; this post is an expansion of the first post for additional battle planning on your part. 

A word of caution; if you think this is a group battle and not one of a personal nature you will be getting some black eyes. Satan loves to separate you from the crowd and soften you up before he comes in with the kill shot.

To prepare for battle you must expect shock and awe! (Signs and wonders) This will be especially true if you left home without your morning spiritual preparation such as prayer, worship, and a good portion of the Holy Scripture, followed by putting on the whole armor of God. (Ephesians 6:10-18)

Matthew 24:24 For false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect.

Mark 13:22 For false christs and false prophets will rise and show signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect.

Your advocate is seated on the right as you face this picture, He will give you victory and protection. It is His power and provision that defeats the darkness that may be attacking you.

Daily preparation is important especially if you speaking up on the Lords behalf during your daily mix with society. In the 1990's my wife and I were performing deliverance ministry services for our King; I can attest to the morning preparation as the most important part of the day. Don't leave home without the armor!

In the previous post Satan appeared as an old man, as a young man, as a large brook of water, and in an unmentioned form when Abraham saw Satan tangle the rams horns in a bush in an attempt to have Abraham continue with the sacrifice of Isaac.

Satan the transformer appeared in the following way to Adam and Eve during their second temptation. This second method could be going on in many churches today across America, maybe in the one you attend. The following report took place after Adam and Eve had been expelled from the Garden of Eden by God.

Please pay special attention to how Adam and Eve discussed what they were seeing and what Adam did about it. (Emphasis mine with bold text of the key points) 

The First Book of Adam and Eve

Chapter XXVII The second tempting of Adam and Eve. The devil takes on the form of a beguiling light.

1 When Satan, the hater of all good, saw how they continued in prayer, and how God communed with them, and comforted them, and how He had accepted their offering −− Satan made an apparition.

2 He began with transforming his hosts; in his hands was a flashing fire, and they were in a great light.

3 He then placed his throne near the mouth of the cave because he could not enter into it by reason of their prayers. And he shed light into the cave, until the cave glistened over Adam and Eve; while his hosts began to sing praises.

4 And Satan did this, in order that when Adam saw the light, he should think within himself that it was a heavenly light, and that Satan's hosts were angels; and that God had sent them to watch at the cave, and to give him light in the darkness.

5 So that when Adam came out of the cave and saw them, and Adam and Eve bowed to Satan, then he would overcome Adam thereby, and a second time humble him before God.

6 When, therefore, Adam and Eve saw the light, fancying it was real, they strengthened their hearts; yet, as they were trembling, Adam said to Eve: −−

7 "Look at that great light, and at those many songs of praise, and at that host standing outside who won't come into our cave. Why don't they tell us what they want, where they are from, what the meaning of this light is, what those praises are, why they have been sent to this place, and why they won't come in?

8 If they were from God, they would come into the cave with us, and would tell us why they were sent."

9 Then Adam stood up and prayed to God with a burning heart, and said: −−

10 "O Lord, is there in the world another god besides You, who created angels and filled them with light, and sent them to keep us, who would come with them?

11 But, look, we see these hosts that stand at the mouth of the cave; they are in a great light; they sing loud praises. If they are of some other god than You, tell me; and if they are sent by you, inform me of the reason for which You have sent them."

12 No sooner had Adam said this, than an angel from God appeared to him in the cave, who said to him, "O Adam, fear not. This is Satan and his hosts; he wishes to deceive you as he deceived you at first. For the first time, he was hidden in the serpent; but this time he is come to you in the likeness of an angel of light; in order that, when you worshipped him, he might enslave you, in the very presence of God."

13 Then the angel went from Adam and seized Satan at the opening of the cave, and stripped him of the pretense he had assumed, and brought him in his own hideous form to Adam and Eve; who were afraid of him when they saw him.

14 And the angel said to Adam, "This hideous form has been his ever since God made him fall from heaven. He could not have come near you in it; he therefore transformed himself into an angel of light."

15 Then the angel drove away Satan and his hosts from Adam and Eve, and said to them, "Fear not; God who created you, will strengthen you."

16 And the angel left them.

Biblical verification of Satan appearing as an angel of light.

2 Corinthians 11:14 And no wonder! For Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light.

Here are a few closing thoughts regarding what we have learned about our adversaries abilities.

• Satan can transform himself and his host, one third of the heavenly angels that fell with him, into angels of light
• Satan and his host could not enter the cave because of Adam and Eves prayers (Even though they had fallen from grace they repented and then maintained a right relationship with God who protected them)
• Because this host at the cave entrance didn't come in, Adam questioned Eve and then God
• God answered Adams question with an angel
• God's angel removed Satan's disguise and revealed him for what he is and then sent Satan away
• Today's churches who have gone along with political correctness have lost God's presence as well as His protection; Satan and his host could enter right in and join the service
• Satan also moves easily from seen to unseen, dimensional transitions, and is obviously an inter dimensional fallen angel 
• He will tell you stories and sometimes admits that he lied

A Lame Man Healed

Acts 3:1 Now Peter and John went up together to the temple at the hour of prayer, the ninth hour. 2 And a certain man lame from his mother’s womb was carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask alms from those who entered the temple; 3 who, seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple, asked for alms. 4 And fixing his eyes on him, with John, Peter said, “Look at us.” 5 So he gave them his attention, expecting to receive something from them. 6 Then Peter said, “Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk.” 7 And he took him by the right hand and lifted him up, and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength. 8 So he, leaping up, stood and walked and entered the temple with them—walking, leaping, and praising God. 9 And all the people saw him walking and praising God. 10 Then they knew that it was he who sat begging alms at the Beautiful Gate of the temple; and they were filled with wonder and amazement at what had happened to him.

The promise of the Father is for you today! 

Over the past 40 years I have personally witnessed many similar events including brain tumors, lung cancer, bone cancer, and allergic reactions healed by the Power of the Holy Spirit.

If you ask He will baptize you with this power and then give you the gift of faith to use this power at His direction. (See the faith chapter, Hebrews 11)

Acts Part (1-2)

Following the resurrection of Christ; Christ was among the apostles 40 days giving them instructions and commandments.

Acts 1:3 to whom He also presented Himself alive after His suffering by many infallible proofs, being seen by them during forty days and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God.

Christ was assembled together with them:

Acts 1:4 And being assembled together with them, He commanded them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the Promise of the Father, “which,” He said, “you have heard from Me; 5 for John truly baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now.”

Today when you accept Christ as your Savior, He (the Holy Spirit) comes into you and you begin to understand His Word more fully. 

Revelation 3:20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.

These are your baby steps as you begin to understand His teachings and the way He desires you to follow Him. At this point you are not ready to go out among the masses sharing the good news of Salvation. At this point you need fellowship and growth with like minded believers.

As we see in Acts 1:4-5 Jesus commands them not to depart Jerusalem until they receive the Promise of the Father even though these apostles had been with Him during His ministry. They certainly were not babes in Christ but they were lacking the Promise of the Father, the empowerment given by God to complete their task among the masses.

These were men who had witnessed it all, the Crucifixion, the burial, and the Resurrected Christ; they had experienced it all but He told them to wait. WOW!

Acts 1: 8 But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”

This same power is available to you today! 

Then they watched Him ascend into Heaven and were told He would return in like manner.

Acts 1:9 Now when He had spoken these things, while they watched, He was taken up, and a cloud received Him out of their sight.

One days journey and then the wait in Jerusalem.

They gathered in the upper room, about 120 of them in all and were of one accord in prayer and supplication. 

Peter rose and reviewed the history of Judas involvement in Christ's ministry including the foretelling covered in Psalms. It was time to pick his replacement and by lots they chose between two, Joseph called Barsabas, who was surnamed Justus, and Matthias.

Acts 1:15 And in those days Peter stood up in the midst of the disciples (altogether the number of names was about a hundred and twenty), and said, 16 “Men and brethren, this Scripture had to be fulfilled, which the Holy Spirit spoke before by the mouth of David concerning Judas, who became a guide to those who arrested Jesus; 17 for he was numbered with us and obtained a part in this ministry.” (Bold Emphasis mine)


18 (Now this man purchased a field with the wages of iniquity; and falling headlong, he burst open in the middle and all his entrails gushed out. 19 And it became known to all those dwelling in Jerusalem; so that field is called in their own language, Akel Dama, that is, Field of Blood.)

And let no one live in it’;
and,

Lot Defined:

That by which the fate or portion of one is determined that by which an event is committed to chance, that is, to the determination of Providence as, to cast lots to draw lots.

The lot is cast into the lap, but the whole disposing thereof is of the Lord.

How long did they wait for The Promise of the Father, the Holy Spirit?

Coming of the Holy Spirit


Acts 2:1 When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. 2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. 3 Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them. 4 And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

Is this Appearing in Your Church? Angels of Light Worshiping with You?

Angels of light have joined many worship services in our churches, at least the lights are flashing in some mega church gatherings.

Could this be a repeat of the second tempting of Adam and Eve?

When Adam and Eve fell we all lost access to the Garden of Eden and the ability to see all the dimensions of spiritual beings around us.

The First Book of Adam and Eve CHAP. XXVII.

The second tempting of Adam and Eve. The devil takes on the form of a beguiling light.

1 WHEN Satan, the hater of all good, saw how they continued in prayer, and how God communed with them, and comforted them, and how He had accepted their offering--Satan made an apparition.

2 He began with transforming his hosts; in his hands was a flashing fire, and they were in a great light.

3 He then placed his throne near the mouth of the cave because he could not enter into it by reason of their prayers. And he shed light into the cave, until the cave glistened over Adam and Eve; while his hosts began to sing praises.

4 And Satan did this, in order that when Adam saw the light, he should think within himself that it was a heavenly light, and that Satan's hosts were angels; and that God had sent them to watch at the cave, and to give him light in the darkness.

5 So that when Adam came out of the cave and saw them, and Adam and Eve bowed to Satan, then he would overcome Adam thereby, and a second time humble him before God.

6 When, therefore, Adam and Eve saw the light, fancying it was real, they strengthened their hearts; yet, as they were trembling, Adam said to Eve:--

7 "Look at that great light, and at those many songs of praise, and at that host standing outside that do not come in to us, do not tell us what they say, or whence they come, or what is the meaning of this light; what those praises are; wherefore they have been sent hither, and why they do not come in.

8 "If they were from God, they would come to us in the cave, and would tell us their errand."

9 Then Adam stood up and prayed unto God with a fervent heart, and said:--

10 "O Lord, is there in the world another god than Thou, who created angels and filled them with light, and sent them to keep us, who would come with them?

11 "But, lo, we see these hosts that stand at the mouth of the cave; they are in a great light; they sing loud praises. If they are of some other god than Thou, tell me; and if they are sent by Thee, inform me of the reason for which Thou hast sent them."

12 No sooner had Adam said this, than an angel from God appeared unto him in the cave, who said unto him, "O Adam, fear not. This is Satan and his hosts; he wishes to deceive you as he deceived you at first. For the first time, he was hidden in the serpent; but this time he is come to you in the similitude of an angel of light; in order that, when you worshipped him, he might enthrall you, in the very presence of God."

13 Then the angel went from Adam, and seized Satan at the opening of the cave, and stripped him of the feint he had assumed, and brought him in his own hideous form to Adam and Eve; who were afraid of him when they saw him.

14 And the angel said to Adam, "This hideous form has been his ever since God made him fall from heaven. He could not have come near you in it; therefore did he transform himself into an angel of light."

15 Then the angel drove away Satan and his hosts from Adam and Eve, and said unto them, "Fear not; God who created you, will strengthen you."

16 And the angel went from them.

17 But Adam and Eve remained standing in the cave; no consolation came to them; they were divided in their thoughts.

18 And when it was morning they prayed; and then went out to seek the garden. For their hearts were towards it, and they could get no consolation for having left it.

2 Corinthians 11:14 And no wonder! For Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light.

Mark 13:22 For false christs and false prophets will rise and show signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect.

Don't get caught in this trap, do what Adam did and ask God to verify your perception.
